چکیده

In this paper, we shall emphasize the role played by error estimates and annihilation diierence operators in the construction of extrapolations processes. It is showed that this approach leads to a uniied derivation of many extrapolation algorithms and related devices, to general results about their kernels and that it opens the way to many new algorithms. Their convergence and acceleration properties could also be studied within this framework.

Modeling of temperature in friction stir welding of duplex stainless steel using multivariate lagrangian methods, linear extrapolation and multiple linear regression

In this study, the temperature in friction stir welding of duplex stainless steel has been investigated. At first, temperature estimation was modeled and estimated at different distances from the center of the stir zone by the multivariate Lagrangian function. Then, the linear extrapolation method and multiple linear regression method were used to estimate the temperature outside the range and ...

Ridge Stochastic Restricted Estimators in Semiparametric Linear Measurement Error Models

In this article we consider the stochastic restricted ridge estimation in semipara-metric linear models when the covariates are measured with additive errors. The development of penalized corrected likelihood method in such model is the basis for derivation of ridge estimates. The asymptotic normality of the resulting estimates are established. Also, necessary and sufficient condition...

Decoupled schemes for a non-stationary mixed Stokes-Darcy model

We study numerical methods for solving a non-stationary mixed Stokes-Darcy problem that models coupled fluid flow and porous media flow. A decoupling approach based on interface approximation via temporal extrapolation is proposed for devising decoupled marching algorithms for the mixed model. Error estimates are derived and numerical experiments are conducted to demonstrate the computational e...

Fundamental Methods of Numerical Extrapolation With Applications

Extrapolation is an incredibly powerful technique for increasing speed and accuracy in various numerical tasks in scientific computing. As we will see, extrapolation can transform even the most mundane of algorithms (such as the Trapezoid Rule) into an extremely fast and accurate algorithm, increasing the rate of convergence by more than one order of magnitude. Within this paper, we will first ...
